Chapter One – Law and Its Operation
The world, and all within it, is man’s conditioned consciousness objectified. Consciousness is the cause as well as the substance of the entire world. So, to discover the secret of creation, we must turn to consciousness.
Knowledge of the law of consciousness and the method of operating this law enable us to accomplish all we desire in life. Armed with this knowledge, we can build and maintain an ideal world.
Consciousness is the one and only reality, not figuratively but actually. This reality may be likened to a stream divided into two parts: the conscious and the subconscious. The conscious is personal and selective; the subconscious is impersonal and non-selective. Understanding their relationship is essential for intelligently operating the law of consciousness.
The conscious, the realm of effect, generates ideas and impresses them on the subconscious, the realm of cause. These two aspects are the male and female divisions of consciousness. The conscious is male; the subconscious is female.
The creative process begins with an idea conceived by the conscious and impressed upon the subconscious. The subconscious then expresses and gives form to these ideas.
Control of the subconscious is achieved through control of ideas and feelings. The subconscious does not originate ideas but accepts those felt to be true by the conscious mind. Therefore, man has control over creation through imagination, feeling, and the freedom to choose ideas.
No idea can be impressed on the subconscious until it is felt. Feeling is the medium through which ideas are conveyed to the subconscious. Control of feeling is crucial for a full and happy life. It involves disciplining oneself to entertain only feelings contributing to happiness.
Sensation precedes manifestation, and moods and feelings are connected to the visible world. Emotional disturbances, especially suppressed emotions, can lead to disease. To maintain health, one must control feelings and avoid dwelling on imperfections.
The dominant feeling determines expression, and what is felt is impressed upon the subconscious, influencing the outer world. Mastery of self-control of thoughts and feelings is paramount for a fulfilling life.
Chance or accident is not responsible for life events; subconscious impressions determine one’s world. The subconscious is not concerned with truth or falsity but accepts as true whatever is felt to be true.
To impress the subconscious with a desirable state, one must assume the feeling of having already realized the wish. A change of feeling is a change of pattern, and the subconscious faithfully expresses what is impressed upon it.
The subconscious, though serving man, responds more to persuasion than command. The relationship between conscious and subconscious is akin to a loving partnership.
“The kingdom of heaven is within you,” and the subconscious is the womb of creation. To shape one’s world, it’s necessary to control ideas and feelings and feel the wish fulfilled.

Chapter Two – Sleep
Sleep, occupying one-third of life, is a natural gateway to the subconscious. Conscious attention to sleep influences one’s waking life.
In sleep, man impresses the subconscious with his conception of himself. The subconscious creates conditions and events based on these impressions, making the dreamer’s world a reflection of their consciousness.
Preparation for sleep involves feeling satisfied and spotless. By assuming the feeling of the wish fulfilled before sleep, one impresses the subconscious and shapes the waking world.
Sleep is the door to the subconscious, and entering it with a defined attitude influences the dreamer’s experiences. Attaining a state of satisfaction before sleep contributes to a positive waking life.
Chapter Three – Prayer
Prayer, like sleep, is an entrance to the subconscious. “Whatsoever things ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye have received them, and ye shall have them.”
Prayer is effective when the feeling of the wish fulfilled is assumed. Yielding to the wish and feeling its reality, rather than forcing it, is crucial for successful prayer.
Entering a state of meditation or reverie, akin to pre-sleep relaxation, enhances the effectiveness of prayer. Passive receptivity and feeling the wish fulfilled are key elements in successful prayer.

Chapter Four – Feeling
Faith is feeling, and consciousness shapes reality. Capturing the feeling associated with a realized wish by assuming it as already achieved is the key to manifestation.
Feeling is the bridge between desire and realization. By feeling the wish fulfilled, one attracts corresponding conditions and experiences.
Believing in oneself as the desired state is fundamental. “He that believeth on Me, the works that I do shall he do also” should be interpreted as “He that believes as I believe, the works that I do shall he do also.”
Feelings dictate actions and circumstances. By living in the feeling of being what one desires, the manifestation of those desires is inevitable.
Conclusion:
The chapters emphasize the power of consciousness, the role of feeling, and the importance of shaping thoughts before sleep and prayer. Understanding the relationship between the conscious and subconscious mind enables deliberate creation and manifestation in one’s life.
